YVAD ONLINE ("we", "our", "us") operates the BreathLife mobile application ("the Application"). This privacy policy describes how we collect, use, store and protect your personal data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable laws.

  • Profile data: profile picture (optional), language preferences
  • Health and wellness data: CO₂ tolerance test results, breathing level, onboarding questionnaire answers (smoking, physical activity, respiratory allergies, breathing pace)

2.2. Data Generated Through Use

  • Exercise data: session history, durations, completed exercises
  • Progress data: daily streaks, unlocked badges, earned stars
  • Community data: leaderboard ranking, encouragements sent

2.3. Technical Data

  • Device type, operating system, application version
  • Anonymous identifiers for analytics purposes

3. Purposes of Processing

We use your data to:

  • Provide and personalize Application services (exercises adapted to your level)
  • Manage your user account
  • Track your progress and maintain your history
  • Power community features (leaderboard, encouragements)
  • Improve the Application and fix bugs
  • Send you service-related notifications (exercise reminders, if enabled)
  • Process Premium subscriptions through the App Store / Google Play platforms

4. Legal Basis for Processing

  • Consent: for health/wellness data and notifications
  • Legitimate interest: for Application improvement and analytics

5. Data Sharing

We never sell your personal data. We may share data with:

  • Hosting providers: for secure data storage
  • Apple / Google: for processing in-app purchases and subscriptions (managed by their respective platforms)
  • Analytics services: aggregated and anonymized data only

Community leaderboard data (username, practice statistics) is visible to other users if you enable your public profile.

6. Data Retention

  • Account data: retained as long as your account is active
  • Exercise data: retained as long as your account is active
  • After account deletion: data is deleted within 30 days, unless legal retention obligations apply

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • Access: obtain a copy of your personal data
  • Rectification: correct inaccurate data
  • Erasure: request deletion of your data
  • Portability: receive your data in a structured format
  • Objection: object to the processing of your data
  • Restriction: request limitation of processing
  • Withdrawal of consent: at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing

8. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data: password encryption, HTTPS communications, restricted data access.

9. International Transfers

Your data may be processed on servers located outside the European Union. Where applicable, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place (standard contractual clauses, adequacy decisions).

10. Children's Data

The Application is not intended for children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors under 16. If you are a parent and believe your child has provided us with data, please contact us.

11. In-App Purchases

Premium subscriptions are managed by Apple (App Store) and Google (Google Play). We do not collect or store your payment information. Please refer to Apple's and Google's privacy policies for more information.

12. The breathlife.app website

  • Audience measurement: the website uses Google Analytics only if you accept it in the banner shown on your first visit. Without your consent, no measurement cookie is set. You can change your choice at any time via the "Manage cookies" link at the bottom of the page.
  • Contact form: your name, email address and message are sent to us by email through the Resend service, so that we can reply.
  • Newsletter and free guide: your email address is stored and added to our mailing list managed with Brevo; confirmation emails are sent through Resend. You can unsubscribe at any time by writing to contact@breathlife.app.
  • Hosting: the website is hosted by Hostinger.

13. Changes

We may update this privacy policy. Significant changes will be notified through the Application. The last update date is indicated at the top of this page.
