Who is behind BreathLife

Davy Raillard, creator of BreathLife
I have practised yoga for many years, and breathing is the part I have always kept in my daily life: a few minutes in the morning, a few in the evening. I was looking for an app for those sessions and could not find one that suited me: exercise libraries with no thread, timers with no voice, subscriptions for features I never used. So I built my own.
That is what BreathLife is first of all: a voice that sets the pace, one exercise a day chosen for you, nothing to count, nothing to configure. Ten guided exercises, from coherent breathing to 4-7-8, and a 28-day path that builds up gently.
Then I got interested in longevity, and one question stayed with me: how do you know whether the practice changes anything? I had the idea of measuring a “breathing age”: the comfortable breath hold after a normal exhale, compared with what is expected at your age, expressed in years. It is not a medical exam, it is a marker. It moves when you practise, and you retake it every week to watch your curve come down.
BreathLife is published in France by YVAD ONLINE (EURL). The texts, the exercises and the calculation are made here; the voices are recorded in French and English. If you write to me, I am the one who answers. Breath is Life, Life is Breath.
How breathing age is calculated
The full method is published: breath hold after a normal exhale, smoking and activity adjustments, the 5 level thresholds by age group, an example grid, sources and limits.
